A 22-year-old male presents to the clinic with a chief complaint of “poison ivy”. Rash began 4 days ago after patient had been doing yardwork and they report it is just “getting worse”.
Associated symptoms: rash is very itchy and seems to get worse if they are outside too long. No fever, body aches, cough, nausea or vomiting, no difficulty breathing.
No history of same.
Using topical calamine and benedryl which is not helping.
PMH: negative. NKDA
BP: 125/62 P: 82 R: 16 T: 98.8 Weight: 82.7 kg
Exam reveals an extensive, erythematous, maculopaular rash covering all four extremities, neck and face.
